29 May 2020Can the [nf] in 'unf' become [ɱf] in fast speech? I don't know why but when speaking fast I involuntarily put a slight [t] so that [nf] becomes [ntf], I guess it's just a case of epenthesis? What about the 'nate' part – isn't it more of a schwa sound rather than a true [I]?

cuz somehow i hear the "I" sound after the "n" is a sound between "a" and "I" rather than a pure "I"
